We wanted to congratulate our friend Andrew Johnson in winning 2nd place in the Portrait category for the Nevada Camera Club's Print Competition! On a hot afternoon in this past July, Andrew rented the studio for an afternoon session with a local jazz singer, Hanne. This shoot was in 35mm black and white film. He shot the following image here in front of our beautiful North facing loft window! He did a great job, here is where you can find the photo called "Waiting"...

Happy Hump Day!
It's been awhile since our last post and we wanted everyone to know that we are alive and thriving! Hope everyone's Thanksgiving was full of wonderful moments with family and friends.
Expect some exciting changes at R2K starting the New Year. We have been granted a Liquor License and will be throwing musical events every First Friday! Can you believe a Photo Studio with a Liquor License?! Only in Vegas!
And if you haven't heard already the Downtown Arts District will be unveiling there NEW event which will be held every Third Friday of the Month. This event will be just like First Friday and I encourage you to join in promoting and sustaining our Downtown Art's District by gracing us with your presence! Support Our Art's District!

Hey everyone!
It's been awhile since our last post. We have had a busy month with some exceptional photographer's in house shooting. Much thanks to Zappos and Scott Santos from Strip Magazine.
Also, if your haven't checked out our First Friday Event then you are surely missing out! Last First Friday was a crazy filled night full of cocktails, photo shoots and networking. All for the sake of ART. We hope Alien Tequila and Real Results Fitness will come back and do another sponsor. wink wink ; )

First Friday
Hello!
Please come down to our First Friday Meet and Greet Event this Friday October 1st for FREE Drinks, Snacks and Shooting!
As always this is a FREE event for everyone but we are allowing photographer's the choice to pay a $30 dollar fee if they would like to have 30 MINUTES OF STUDIO TIME with our amazing Props, Backgrounds and our extensive line of Profoto Equipment! You may bring your own Model or use our Featured MM Guest Model of the night at no additional charge!
The model will be professionally styled in a High Fashion and Glamour outfit. Just bring your camera with Hot Shoe/Sync Cord Capabilites.
This is a wonderful way to try our Equipment and Studio for a small fee. Either way, please come down and meet and mingle with other creative minds. Please message me if you would like to attend!

Hello All!
I'm so sad to see the summer go! School's back in session and soon our famous Las Vegas poolside retreats will be much quieter. But I'm almost certain everyone in Vegas would agree that the end of summer is a welcomed break from the relenting heat.. so long Summer and Hello Fall!
Both Amanda and I hope you had a wonderful summer shooting some amazing images or at least having memorable images taken of you and your loved ones.

Hi!
So here at R2K Studio we are thrilled to have photographer and brainchild of Strip Las Vegas Magazine shoot at our Studio. Scott really makes most of our In-House Props and I must say he does it well. He is incredibly talented and his magazine OOZES Sexy Glam Eroticism. At R2K Studio we not only have the equipment and the space but we have a extensive wardrobe for Fashion, Glamour and Editorial clothing. So if you are a model and you hire R2K for your next photoshoot the wardrobe styling is included at no additional charge! Just mention you saw this post!
And for photographer's out there: You can rent our racks of clothing for a nominal fee when you rent the studio OR you can hire our in-house stylist to help plan the wardrobe for your shoot!

May 7, 2010 was our very First Friday Event at R2K Studio! Our Studio is located directly behind the famous Casa Don Juan Restaurant. We had catering from Casa Don Juan's and an Open Bar to help lure in foot traffic from First Friday...and it worked!
We had a live photo shoot going on and we took plenty of photos of our Guests! Thank you for all that showed up, we hope you continue to support First Friday and all of the local businesses in our area. If you haven't already experienced First Friday for yourself, come down next June 4th, we will have our doors open and there will be plenty of fun and exciting moments!
